The American intellectual class, with Federal judges in the vanguard, have been assiduously removing God from American culture, public life and most pertinently from its schools. No prayer to begin the school day, no moment of silence even, no invocation at graduation. You see it's all "unconstitutional" according to the "living constitution" theory du jour. This despite the existence of government support for bible lessons in state schools from the earliest days of the republic until the ascendancy of the progressive movement infiltrated the Federal courts. Now look what took the place of God. I'm OK, you're OK relativism. Any old "value" is as good as another. Free speech for the most degrading moral "values", violence in film, rap music and video games. We are reaping the whirlwind. Will the ACLU now sue those teachers who prayed with the children? Is that now tantamount to child abuse? Or is it rather raising children without a set of values that allows them to judge what is good and what is evil. Today we can clearly see that there is a difference.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
